Whether spinning vinyl, teaching the next generation, or hosting on radio, Nelson brings passion, depth, and heavyweight energy to every beat.

Background:

Nelson’s musical roots run deep. Schooled in Funk and Soul at legendary venues like Zhivago’s, Zero 6, and Gold Mine, he absorbed the sounds of DJ Dwight Wizard (RIP), Ian Reading, and Chris Hill — true masters of the craft.

His love for Roots music was sparked by his cousin Sean, and shaped by icons like Jah Shaka (RIP), Fatman, Coxon, David Rodigan, Mighty 2, and V Rocket — the foundation builders.

Techno and House came next, guided by the likes of DJ Paul Mac, DJ Mickey Ashford, DJ Patrick Clarke, DJ Rene, Warren Le Suere, Craig Alder, and the trailblazing DJ Biko.
